Safety first!

In order to guarantee good service, we will need to collect and store a minimum amount of data. When you place an order, you will have to provide your name, address, telephone number, email address and payment method. If you simply wish to subscribe to our newsletter, we will only ask for your e-mail address.

We are required to share your details with our trusted partners and courier companies so that they can deliver the goods to you easily.

We guarantee that we and our partners will collect, process, store and share your data in a secure manner.

In order to provide you with the right goods in a qualitative and targeted manner, we base our products on your wishes.

If you notice that your details have been entered incorrectly, you can change them in your personal account. Does it not work? Then send us an email to privacy@eurotag.eu with all the information that needs to be changed. We will take care of this for you and inform you as soon as your data has been changed.

This privacy policy applies at all times, even if, for example, you have requested your products or offers through a third party such as a reseller. The privacy policy is also part of our terms of sale and the contract you enter into with us for the supply of our products and services.

We, Eurotag, are committed to protecting your privacy and security. In addition, we take our responsibility for the security of our customer data very seriously. This complete privacy policy explains what information we collect, how and why we use and disclose your information and how we protect your privacy.

1. The person responsible for your data

The privacy policy applies to personal data collected and used by Eurotag.

References made in this privacy policy such as Eurotag, we, us or our, always refer to Eurotag bv. The registered office of Eurotag is located at Veldenstraat 14, 2470 Retie, Belgium under the CBE number BE0442557451.

We monitor the ways in which your personal data is collected and the purposes for which this data is used. We are the data controller for the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR.

2. Personal data we collect

When we use the term 'personal data' in our privacy policy, we are talking about information about you that allows us to identify you. This can be direct information or a combination of other information that we may have. This information may include your name, your contact details, information about your order such as the order number or information about how you communicate with us and use our website.

We collect some of your information when, for example, you request a quote from us, use our website, contact us or use our services. We also receive information about you from our partners who provide services to you, for example when you give feedback about our service, or from third parties acting on your behalf. When you act on behalf of someone else, you must always have permission for that person to use their data.

Data about your origin, physical or mental health, religion or about a suspected offence, are considered sensitive personal data according to the European GDPR. We do NOT collect this kind of data.

3. How and why we use your personal data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To process your order

When you place an order with Eurotag, we use your information to prepare and ship your order or notify you when you want to pick it up.

  • As a means of communication and to maintain or improve our relationship with you

We may need to contact you by email and/or text message for administrative or operational reasons. For example, to send you a confirmation of your order and/or payment. We may also contact you to check whether you have received our offer or because your shopping cart has not yet been completed. Please note that these messages are not for marketing purposes and you will continue to receive them even if you have opted not to receive marketing communications.

We also use your personal data to contact you after you have sent us a request, completed a web form on our website or contacted us via social media.

We will use the messages and feedback you send us to manage our relationship with you as a customer and to improve our services and customer experience.

  • To personalise and improve your customer experience

In order to tailor our services to your preferences, needs and to provide you with a personalised customer experience, we use your personal data. For example, when you let us know which your favourite products are, we can send you offers that are of personal interest to you.

In addition, we may collect information about how you use our website, which pages you go to most often and which products you purchase. We do this to understand your preferences. We also use this information to customise visible content and offers on our website (where you have consented to receive advertising) and to send you communications we think you may find interesting.

If you place an order through your account and leave the site before completing it, we may contact you to help you complete the purchase.

If you create an account on our webshop or place an order and do not indicate that you do not wish to receive marketing messages, we may send you advertisements about our products.

If you are subscribed to our newsletter, you will automatically receive our marketing messages. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you news about new products and offers that may be of interest to you. The business purposes for which we use your data include: accounting, billing and auditing, credit or other payment card verification, fraud screening, safety, security and legal purposes, statistical and marketing analyses, system testing, maintenance and development.

4. Requesting access to your personal data

You have the right to request access to your personal data held by us at any time. If you would like a copy of your information or if you have any questions about our data protection policy, please contact us at: privacy@eurotag.eu.

You can also contact us at the same email address if you wish to object to the processing of your personal data or exercise your right to be forgotten or deleted.

5. Security of your personal data

Eurotag is committed to implementing appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised or unlawful processing and from accidental loss, destruction or damage to your personal data. When you submit your personal data via our website, this information is transmitted securely over the internet using high-level encryption.

As described earlier in the privacy policy, we may disclose your personal data to third parties (see section 7 - Sharing your personal data). If Eurotag does transfer your personal information to a third party, we require that they have the technical and organisational measures in place to protect your data. However, in some cases we are required by law to provide your personal information to a third party, such as a customs office, and we have limited control over how your information is protected by that party.

The information you provide to us will be held in our systems located on our premises or on the premises of third parties. In addition, we may provide third parties with access to your information on the condition that they operate in accordance with the purposes described in our privacy policy or other approved purposes.

Your personal data can always be accessed and processed by our employees located outside the jurisdiction of the GDPR. Your data will always remain within Europe.

6. Cookies and other tracking technologies

We use technologies such as cookies, pixels or tracking software to analyse how visitors use our website. This allows us to optimise our services to provide you with the most relevant content. Please note that we cannot identify you from the information we collect with these technologies.

In order to optimise the design and layout of our website and improve your experience, we use software to track user traffic patterns and website usage. This software does not allow us to collect any personal data.

To understand how customers respond to our emails and the content we send them, we use pixels. By using pixels, we can find out whether our sent emails are opened and whether the content of these emails is displayed in text or html form.

We also use cookies on our website and in our emails. Cookies are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. They help your computer to remember things like your login and language choice. This makes it easier for you to use our website. You can delete certain cookies if you wish. Most functions of the Eurotag website remain available when you delete cookies. However, some cookies are necessary in order to view or navigate our website.

We may share your personal data with other companies within our group.

  • Service providers who assist us in our business operations and in improving our services and customer experience

We share your personal data with companies that help us with accounting, IT infrastructure, mailings, website and webshop. In addition, we disclose your data to companies who help us to obtain feedback on our services.

Eurotag always selects its partners who receive your personal data carefully and requires them to comply with high security standards for the protection of your information. Your data will only be passed on when necessary (e.g. in case of a troubleshooting to the IT department) and with the minimum of information (e.g. only your email address to the mailing provider).

  • Credit card and debit card companies

We may need to share some of your personal information with companies that handle electronic payment transactions on our behalf. We may also share your information with our fraud screening partner to ensure the security of your transactions and to detect fraudulent transactions.

  • Authorities

We may disclose your personal data when required by a law to which Eurotag is subject.

  • Links

Our website provides links to third party websites, such as Facebook, which have their own privacy policies. Our privacy policy does not apply there and Eurotag is not responsible for the information that third parties may collect through these websites.

Our service providers are under no circumstances allowed to use your personal data for any purpose other than that for which they have been commissioned. For example, they may not send you a mailing in their own name using the information we have provided to them.

8. Updates to our privacy policy

From time to time, changes will be made to our privacy policy, including as part of the new European data protection legislation effective 25 May 2018 (GDPR).

We will always publish the latest version of our privacy policy on our website. You can check this by looking at the version number at the top of the document.
